UEFA Champions League: Ronaldo and Real Madrid’s Perez meet again

The wonderful and glamorous city of Monaco will play host to the most prestigious competition in the world, the UEFA Champions League draw and awards on Thursday and will also see Cristiano Ronaldo and Florentino Perez cross paths once again.

When the Portuguese signed for Juventus earlier in the summer, both he and Perez said their goodbyes via messages and will now have the chance to meet face-to-face.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s confession: “The ovation in the Juventus Stadium influenced me”

The Real Madrid president wants to bring back some normality to the relationship after the leading goalscorer in the club’s history didn’t have a farewell press conference and arrived in Turin immediately after the World Cup.

The 33-year-old forward seems delighted in his new environment at Juventus seemingly making clear the lack of love he felt in the final stages of his Los Blancos career.

The winner of the UEFA player of the year award will also be announced in Monaco with Mohamed Salah and Luka Modric challenging the Portuguese for his crown.

But, all eyes will be on Perez and Ronaldo as they meet again for the first time since their somewhat distant parting of ways.
