Chelsea set to start-up contract talk with Brazilian star


Chelsea is ready to start-up a contract talks with Brazilian star according to the report in the English media.

The report in The Sun says the Stamford Bridge outfit is prepared for a new contact talk with David Luiz. The former Paris Saint-Germain forced his way back to the starting line-up under Maurizio Sarri after been frozen out last season by former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

The Brazilian defender is one of Sarri's reliable defender at the Chelsea and the Blues' director wants to secure his future with a new offer of a £125,000-a-week contract extension.

Luiz's current deal expires in the summer and he could leave for free, The 31-year-old defender could be offered two more years to remain in London.

Luiz is enjoying his football again under Sarri after his bitter experience with Conte last season which prevented him from playing after February.
