Neymar Embraced Roberto Firmino After His Late Winner Against Paris Saint-Germain

Neymar congratulated Roberto Firmino after he scored the winner to sink his PSG side at Anfield last night.

Liverpool were dominant throughout proceedings but it looked like we were heading for a draw when Kylian Mbappe popped up in the 83rd minute to level matters.

However, substitute Firmino had the final say, twisting and turning Marquinhos in stoppage time before slotting past Alphonse Areola and giving Jurgen Klopp's side a winning start to their Champions League campaign.

And though Neymar will have been disappointed with the result and his showing on Merseyside, he still felt the need to congratulate his Brazilian teammate after the game while he was in the mixed zone.

Firmino was a doubt for the game after being forced off against Spurs at the weekend with a nasty eye injury caused by Jan Vertonghen at Wembley.

Daniel Sturridge deputised well and scored the opener but the former Hoffenheim man's services were required and he well and truly delivered when called upon.

After finding the net and sending Anfield into raptures, the 26-year old produced a brilliant 'one-eye celebration' to reference his recent injury.

Sadio Mané just can't help himself :joy:

He's stolen another celebration...

Neymar, meanwhile, was very ineffective for the visitors and a bad night for him was capped off by him being mugged off by Sadio Mane. He sent him back to Santos.
