Chelsea Manager Sarri says Hazard didn’t follow instructions in draw against West Ham

Chelsea manager has said Hazard didn’t follow his instructions in the first half of Chelsea draw against West Ham on Sunday.

The blues 100% record ended on Sunday at the Olympic stadium with the blues manager claiming it is their worst match of the season.
The blues manager speaking after the match said winger Hazard didn’t do what is expected of him in the first half but said he improved after the break particularly in the last 25 minutes of the match.

When asked if Hazard followed his instructions the former Napoli manager replied saying “Not in the first half. Better in the second half. But today it was very difficult to play inside. They were cutting out very well every pass for Giroud, so we needed two wingers, I think. Hazard in the last 25 minutes did very well, more on the right than the left, but it was very difficult today for the striker and the two wingers.”

He added also that Chelsea cannot use the Europa league as an excuse for the draw against the hammers, adding that he doesn’t expect to be tired at this time of the season with just seven games played.

“I don’t know. I don’t think so. In this period of the season, I don’t think so. After seven matches only. It’s very difficult to play in the Europa League, but more difficult in March and April, not now.

“I said only that I don’t know why in England it is not possible after an away match in the Europa League to play in the Premier League on the Monday night. In Italy, it’s normal. Here I have to play 64 hours after a Europa League match. In this period, it’s not a big problem. In April, maybe.”

The blues return to action in a league cup tie against Liverpool at Anfield before they welcome them on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in the premier league.
