CHELSEA face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night - but who will Maurizio Sarri select to start the match?

“After a perfect start, Chelsea dropped points for the first time in the Premier League away at West Ham on Sunday”
After a perfect start to the new campaign, Chelsea dropped points for the first time in the Premier League away at London rivals West Ham on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers frustrated Sarri’s men at the London Stadium; with the likes of Eden Hazard, Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata missing key chances for the away side.
Ross Barkley also came close to snatching an extra two points for them when his long-range effort was denied by Lukasz Fabianski late on.
Now the Blues must switch their attention to the Carabao Cup for the first of two clashes with league leaders Liverpool this week.
The first comes in two days’ time when Sarri takes his side to Anfield, and the Italian is expected to make several changes ahead of the more-crucial league encounter on Saturday evening.
Willy Caballero should start in goal, coming in for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
At the back, Davide Zappacosta and Emerson Palmieri - reportedly seething after being left out of the Blues’ winning side away at PAOK in the Europa League last Thursday - should flank a centre-back pairing of Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen.
Cahill, captain and instrumental in their title win under Antonio Conte a mere two years ago, has struggled to work his way into Sarri’s plans thus far.

Eden Hazard is likely to be rested
Callum Hudson-Odoi could get a start
However, he replaced an injured Antonio Rudiger at West Ham on Sunday and is likely to get the nod in this one.
A midfield trio of Danny Drinkwater, Jorginho and Ross Barkley is expected.
They should sit just behind a front three of Willian on the right, youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi on the left and Alvaro Morata through the middle.
That fixture gets underway at 7:45pm on Wednesday night.
