Neymar Responds To Rumours Linking Him With Barcelona Return

For as long as Neymar remains at PSG the Brazil forward is likely to be linked with a move away. Recently a move back to Barcelona has been rumoured and he's now responded to that talk.

Neymar's move in the summer of 2017 from Barcelona to PSG came as quite the surprise. Firstly because the forward cost the French side £198 million and also because no one expected him to make what most felt a move down to Ligue 1.

Playing in the French league has only given critics of Neymar more ammunition as they claim that he can only do it against the lesser sides in Ligue 1 and not in the Champions League.

Rumours have continued for the whole time that he could be moving to Real Madrid in the future, especially now that Cristiano Ronaldo has moved on, but Los Blancos didn't make a bid last summer.

This week there has been links with a return to Barcelona. According to the claims the 26 year old is fed up with life in Paris for a few reasons including being overshadowed by Kylian Mbappe.

Now the world's most expensive transfer has replied to the reports in Spanish papers with a video on his website:

So that's a no then?

It's no surprise that the PSG forward has rubbished the claims, it wouldn't exactly look good if he agreed with them.

Neymar wanting a return to Barcelona because he feels overshadowed by Mbappe would of course be very ironic considering one of the reasons he wanted to leave the Camp Nou was because he wanted to get out of Messi's shadow.

Right now though he's no closer to winning the Ballon d'Or than he was in Spain and Mbappe looks like he could even win it this year.

It's been reported that PSG have already agreed with their record signing that he can leave the French capital at the end of next season as long as they get around what they paid for him.

Antoine Griezmann has also been linked as his potential replacement, which would be a big move for the French champions.

For now though it looks like Neymar is staying put, or at least not admitting to a move.
