Mohamed Salah: Why Liverpool star is being unfairly judged, Man City should be worried

MOHAMED SALAH has been unfairly judged this season, but fitness isn’t behind his dip at Liverpool.

That is the view of Danny Murphy, who has given his view on the Egyptian talisman ahead of his former club’s clash against Manchester City.
welcome City to Anfield later today (4.30pm) and they tasted victory three times against the reigning Premier League champions last term.
While Jurgen Klopp’s men have enjoyed a fabulous start to the campaign, Salah has yet to fire on all cylinders.
The front three of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are likely to cause City a whole host of problems.

But Murphy isn’t too concerned about Salah appearing to be subdued and thinks his class will shine through soon.
“Mo Salah has scored three Premier League goals this season compared to four at the same stage last season,” Murphy told the Daily Mail.
“Yet listening to some critics you'd have thought his performances have fallen off a cliff.
“I don't see it that way. I watched him closely against Chelsea and saw someone who was sharp, quick and getting into goalscoring positions.

Naby Keita

“I didn't see any signs of a fitness issue.
“Salah scored 44 goals last year but missed plenty of chances too.
“It's going to be part of his game because he gets into so many good positions.
“The margins of success or failure in front of goal are often very thin.
Salah scored three goals against City last season and they will write him off at their peril.”
Liverpool will go top of the table with a win.
Meanwhile, Naby Keita could be in line to start for the Reds.
After being taken to hospital following a back injury in midweek against Napoli, Keita travelled back to England with the rest of the squad onn Thursday.
